natejgood (129), Denver, Colorado, USA Mar 1, 2008 Pours a clear medium gold color with a light white foamy head. The aroma is of bitter hops with a hint of sweetness in the background. There is also a bit of a grassy smell. The flavor is much more light and simple than I was expecting. The beer has a light bitter hoppy flavor with hints of grass, and it is fairly smooth in the mouth. There is another flavor in the background, but I can’t put my finger on what it is. Maybe it is a bit smokey.
dm9831 (571), Monee, Illinois, USA Mar 2, 2008 translucent gold, with insubstantial white head. aroma is hoppy, but not very strong. not as hoppy as i like in an ipa, and the barrel seems to cut the edge of the hops, anyway. i found it very mellow, and mellowness is not what i appreciate about an ipa. there seemed to be more minuses than pluses in barrel aging this ipa. sayravai (3037), Helsinki, Finland Dec 18, 2007 (Bottled) Very hazy amber with a small head. Very aromatic-hoppy aroma with tropical fruit, pale malt, and hints of alcohol. Strongly hoppy, grassy-fruity flavor - a bit stingy but quite nice. Medium-bodied, low-carbonated palate. Probably would get a higher score outside a Belgian Xmas beer festival... kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 04/28/2006

bigred024 (26), South Carolina, USA Apr 29, 2007 Filled with hops. A good beer to eat with beef or spicy dishes. Dry-hopping provides a distinctive and floral hop aroma, while the lively and hoppy body is subtly balanced with delicious malt notes.
