Ansset13 (119), Wilmington, North Carolina, USA Mar 7, 2008 Just an average brew. The pour is a reddish color, with okay white head. The nose while not very strong had hints of sweetness to it. The flavor was average and nothing more. An average brew.
dp (466), uniontown, Ohio, USA Jul 4, 2008 the reddish hue and amber quality with malty after-taste add to the quality of this brew. has a metallic aftertaste, which is not expected, hershiser2 (845), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jun 27, 2008 Bottle. Pours red, slightly brown, with a large and creamy tan head. Looks wonderful! Toasted malts, hops, and slight floral in the nose. Tastes nutty, VERY slightly metallic, and has a creamy mouthfeel. This beer improves as it warms. walter (350), Staunton, Virginia, USA Jun 24, 2008 Pretty reddish amber with offwhite head. Aromas of raspberries, cherries, toasted grain, and some herbal tea-like hops in the background-- really nice! Flavor is malt-forward toasty grain with some hops bitterness underneath and a mild sour twang throughout. Watery on the palate-- this thing just falls apart after the initial inviting aromas. An easy drinker, but a bit of a disappointment as I can imagine it being so much more.... gearbike (331), West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA Jun 20, 2008 Rosy read with fluffy head. A bit hop in a floral way. Swee and malty. Nice but a bit flat. Could use a little more punch. Finishes with a nuty flavor. Walt (2251), El Centro, California, USA Jun 16, 2008 Pour is ruby red and lightly hazed with a thin tan head...smell is lightly toasty and sweet...taste is sweet and the mouthfeel is then....a light grainy and faintly bitter character come out in the finish...
