esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Mar 22, 2009 On tap at the New Holland brewpub. A smoked stout. Black with a medium tan head that laces every so nicely upon descent. Aroma of smoke, peat, roasted and sweet malts. Taste of smoke, wood, sweet and roasted malts. Medium palate finishes mildly sweet – sort of like a hickory smoked flavor. Not sure I’d want to consume this en masse, but if it were made regularly, I could see myself coming back to this one quite frequently.
