Commercial Description:
Sundog is an ale whose amber color is as deep as the copper glow of a Lake Michigan sunset. Its Biscuit malt and Fuggle hops give it a toasty character and a subtle, malty sweetness. We believe Sundog is the deepest, richest amber you'll find anywhere.

Nice amber, gold color. Sea foam like head with lacing. Flavors of carmel, sour grapes, very dry finish. Nice drink for an amber ale which I am not particular to.

12oz bottle. Poured a medium and slightly hazy orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, toasted malts, earthy, and light citrus. Tastes of caramel, citrus, and toasted malts.

Pours orange/brown with a light head. Goes down very smoothly with a subtly spicy, hoppy body. A very weak aroma. This amber strays away from the traditional amber ale hop flavors, but still maintains it faintly. Still, a good beer.

12oz - Aroma is moderately hoppy with some caramel malts, sweet and toasty. Pours brown with a small head and good lacing. Flavor matches aroma. Palate is sharp and then mellows to a creamy finish. Not a bad amber.

From bottle. Overall, I would consider it a good lawnmowing beer. Something you could drink more than one of, but not nice enough to impress your boss when he comes over for dinner.

Pours slightly foggy orange amber. Nose is nonexistent basically. Very little going on. Extremely minor leafy character on the nose. Flavor is smooth and even, but not very exciting really. Some leafy character there, but overall the whole ride seems boring and bland. Decent carbonation, but the liquid feels too syrupy I have to say. Overall this is a mediocre amber ale. You won’t miss anything if you pass.

Bottle - small white head with little lacing. This was a nice beer. Actually had a unique almost spicy flavor that I couldn’t identify. This came from an assorted six pack and may have been old. I’d like to try this on tap.

clear amber, frothy beige head, drippy lace, caramel aroma with light sweetness and a musty earthyness, lots of bitter flavor, dry caramel tries to balance the bitterness, bitterness comes early and stays late,
