Commercial Description:
Sundog is an ale whose amber color is as deep as the copper glow of a Lake Michigan sunset. Its Biscuit malt and Fuggle hops give it a toasty character and a subtle, malty sweetness. We believe Sundog is the deepest, richest amber you'll find anywhere.

Clear body with a copperish golden brown hue. Malt taste is subtle, but yet lingers, a good lingering I might add. Hops are noted but very soft and and the end.

Clear and coppery look, under a thin layer of milky white froth. Malty noseherbal, a bit vegetal, earthy, but not too beefy. Nice, though. Minimal hops here. Taste: slick and sweet, a tasty grab on the tongue. Medium bodied, tidy malt finish. Good mouthfeel, if not great. Nice heft, hangs well in the mouth, nearly juicy. Definitely a must try for lovers of malty amber ales. Not the sort of thing I’d normally spend $9 a 6-pack on, but, you know, had to give it a shot. And I will enjoy the remainder of the 6’er.

bottle - Pours light amber with a thin head. The aroma is mild caramel malt. This medium bodied brew is led by the caramel malt flavors as is typical for the style and has a touch of hops. It’s smooth, decent, and unremarkable.

Lite amber colour with thin head. Sweet malt aroma that reminds of pixy sticks. Carmel, lite roast flavour with a hint of licorise. Mild bitter finish. Under the bottle cap it said "stout", which I thought was quite odd...quality control?

This is an enjoyable beer. Very refreshing. Pours a cloudy amber. Fruity citrus flavor. moderate carbonation. Could have a bit more body.

Bottle. Some soapy-funky hops to compliment the mixed chocolate-grapefruit nose. Caramel and some fudge. Clear amber body with a beige head. Thick and malty taste, lots of caramel and grapefruity hops melt into a bready, lightly fruity finish. Caramel and faint fudge. Bitterness is there but expertly balanced by subtle fruity sweetness. Smooth with only a touch of toasty crispness. Finely crafted, and a fine session.

Orange pour with a nice white head. Hops and sweet malt aroma. The palate is good and the flavor is enjoyable. A nice mix of sweet malts with just a bit of earthy hops. Better than expected.
