The palate is good and the flavor is enjoyable. A nice mix of sweet malts with just a bit of earthy hops. Better than expected. Hawksfan17 (718), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jan 27, 2007 Bottle: Orange body with an attractive, rocky head. Floral, mild malty sweetness that reminded me of wine crackers in the overall mild aroma. At first I found this beer very boring. Boring malts opened this beer, with a sweet floral quality entering around mid-palate. The finish was confusing, at best. Reminded me of shredded wheat combined with chlorine, with hops added in to try to mask the flavor. Yeah.. not so much hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 4/5 | 1/10 | 3/5 | 1/20 | Jan 11, 2007 Bottle... Mostly clear orange ale with a small, frothy, white head. Good retention. The aroma and flavor are of boiled shellfish; shrimp and mussels, specifically. This batch is just a DMS bomb! I’ve never smelled or tasted levels this high! Light to medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Lengthy, bitter, dry finish. Absolute drain pour! Infection? Closed boil? A shame! There was potential here... islay (481), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 30, 2006 12 oz. bottle. Yeasty aroma with strong roasted malt presence; quite nice. Pours a clear amber with a small amount of beige head. Roasted malt flavor. Nothing really beyond that. Simplistic, but good. Light-bodied, clean, crisp, refreshing, and drinkable in the palate. Accomplishes its modest purpose well. A good session beer. GeneralGao (3076), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 16, 2006 Draught at the brew pub. Clear orange color with thin off white head that laced the glass. Light malty caramel aroma. Dry on the tongue with bready/brown sugary malt flavors and a touch of smoke. jimhilt (1691), Bow, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 11, 2006 Pours a two finger white head that fades quickly leaving no lace. Cloudy amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Apple cider nose. Starts sweet with apple cider flavor that becomes hoppy and drying as it warms. $1.49 for a 12oz bottle from Chalet Party Goshen, In. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 1, 2006 An American-made Amber...too often a shorthand way of saying a British Bitter, only hoppier, fizzier, and no charm. Such is the case here. A bit on the sticky side, which is nice, but the finish just doesn’t suit me.
