Commercial Description:
Sundog is an ale whose amber color is as deep as the copper glow of a Lake Michigan sunset. Its Biscuit malt and Fuggle hops give it a toasty character and a subtle, malty sweetness. We believe Sundog is the deepest, richest amber you'll find anywhere.

Tap at Detroit Brewfest. Pours an amber color. Big bubbles in head are different looking, like soda perhaps. Somewhat spicy taste. Good malt body. Fairly well done for an amber ale.

Pours a cloudy amber color, bit much head. Smells a little sweet but not too much there. Initial taste is a little sweet but it finishes quickly to a watery aftertaste. It’s really not a bad beer, i just wish it had more flavor/

Autumn Brew Review 2004. Amber color (I should hope so) with a bit of a head. Pretty subtle malt presence in the aroma and taste. Didn’t find much in the way of hops. Not too bad and moderately tasty.

2004 ABR. Basic, roasted malt aroma. Little visible carbonation. Amber in color. Off-white head. Nice lace. Sweet flavor. A little overly cloying. Goes down well, however. Decent bite, though not from hops.

Amber coloured, thin head. Soft malty aroma of toffee, sweet licorice with a hint of grapefruit and lemon. Clean and easy-going malty flavour of toffee and melon with some flowery undertones. Licorice, citrus and honey in aftertaste.
