Commercial Description:
Sundog is an ale whose amber color is as deep as the copper glow of a Lake Michigan sunset. Its Biscuit malt and Fuggle hops give it a toasty character and a subtle, malty sweetness. We believe Sundog is the deepest, richest amber you'll find anywhere.

Excellent, definitely one of my favorites! Great with pizza. No aftertaste or bite, just smooth.

12 oz. Orange/amber pour, white head with a fairly vigorous pour. Some malt with citrus and limited pine aromas. Tastes pretty balanced between the malt and hops, some caramel, grass and pine. Good carbonation, a descent little amber ale. Not a blah and wet leathery as some amber ales. Off for the style, which is probably what makes it good. Drinability I’m sure is pretty high, though this will probably be my only one.

(bottle) A turbid amber body with an average beige head. Aroma is fruity (grapefruit, orange, cranberry, and grape - lots of fruit) with dusty hay and hops. A bitter grapefruit flavor, very earthy, musty. Lots of hops; long finish with a tingling sensation on the tongue. Soft mouthfeel, light to medium body.

Pretty decent amber with a body the color of the style. It sports a tall, dense, chunky head, the kind that it’s fun to watch as it slowly collapses. The aroma is sweet, malty, and fruity with some floral hop scents. Medium bodied, it has a toasty malt flavor, sweet, with oranges and apples and a mild hop bitterness. Nice bitter/sour finish. Good session stuff.

12-24-07. 12oz bottle. Poured clear amber/copper with a slightly soapy head. Smelled of malted grains. Tasted of bread, grains, grassy hops. Some caramel, slight fruitiness, and crisp hop finish.

Bottle from Beer Geek. Hazy orange amber color with an emphemeral white head. Aroma of caramel and citrus? Medium body with very light carbonation. Flavor is caramel and floral. Maybe a bit citrus. Finishes rather dry and just a bit tart/bitter.
