Commercial Description:
Sundog is an ale whose amber color is as deep as the copper glow of a Lake Michigan sunset. Its Biscuit malt and Fuggle hops give it a toasty character and a subtle, malty sweetness. We believe Sundog is the deepest, richest amber you'll find anywhere.

Columbia, SC - Total Wine - 12 oz bottle. Dark orange, murky pour with a quickly fading white head. Cereal like aroma with some toffee accents. Flavor is decidedly sweet with some caramel accents, nuttiness, and some candied sugar - comes off bit artificial tasting though. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky.

Pours light amber, somewhat medium, but not quite. Large foamy head, large bubbles. Aroma of the tinny, malty, abit hoppish wet floral smell. Flavour is of a malty style, with english character amber ale. Not bad, but not what I would consider "hey, lets go and get a case of this....".

Sample @ Cole’s first beer club. Copper body, thin white head. Nose is iced tea, malt, undefined fruit that if I was pressed would define as strawberry. Flavor is tea, malt, sweet caramel. Some hop bitterness & soap in the finish.

Draft: Orangish colored pour with nice white head. Hops and sweet malty aroma to this. Sweet malty, toasted hops finish. I really enjoyed this.

12 oz. Darkish copper and clear, with a three-finger head that persists and leaves creamy frosting on the glass. Faint aroma of earthy spiced apple. Flavor is initially similar, then has added touches of toasted grain, caramel, dried wood, and roasted walnut. Nearly medium body is smooth, dryish, and has a light acidic tingle.

pours a nice reddish amber colour, decent sized head with a little nutty aroma, but noticeable orange peel. Semi dry, semi sweet mouthfeel with flavas of caramel.

Nice amber color with a thin white head. Aroma is light, but I can sense some citrus and hops. Decent mouthfeel...a lot of carbonation. Flavor is good. Starts a bit bitter (citrus) and hoppy and finishes fairly sweet and malty. A good amber ale.
