A little strawberry and orange. Then you definitely pick up some biscuit and malt. Definitely sweet on the front of the tongue. Very doughy in the middle and finishes with a nice hop bitterness. A good beer, although a touch sweet. durhambeer (1224), Durham, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 30, 2008 Amber pour (surprise) with minimal head. Slightly hazy character. As described, it’s malty, sweet, and biscuity. I thought I tasted notes of oranges and strawberry seeds as well. It seems like an amber designed for people who don’t like beer. Seems like a good summer brew, but overall, too sweet for me. thegreenrooster (1842), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 21, 2008 Pour is a nice clear tan with a big white head. Aroma is a nice mix of caramel malts and a very clean smelling hop. Flavor is some dark smoky malts and again a bit of earthy hops. The pronounced hops make this amber a little better than the rest. Excellent session beer. drfabulous (1269), Columbia, Missouri, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Mar 13, 2008 Tea colored body with a small head that quickly turns into a small ring. Faint aroma of caramel and hop. Flavor hop centered with a bit of caramel. With a different malt flavor this could be an APA. It has a strong hop bite and bitterness. cheapdark (2037), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 10, 2008 Smells stronger than the abv listed here would indicate. You know, sweeter and volatile. Orangish clear color. Strong ale flavors, bitter, malty and hoppy. Plenty of personality. Oh yes, certainly stronger than 5%! Alcoholic bitter malt finish. IMHO would not be a good session beer. Too much for my girlie taste buds. gsmitty80 (650), Washington DC, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 3, 2008 This pale ale smelled of roasted wood and smoke. Tasted slighly woody and did not balance out the amber malt well. Not a very good amber ale, unimpressed. ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 27, 2008 Very floral nose with a hint of wheat and sawdust. Pours well, amber. The tight stiff mostly lasting creamy white head leaves lovely webby lace. This brew has really decent depth. Honestly I wasn’t expecting much, but it delivers big in the flavor department. Amber ale has to be the most wide open style IMO; definitely like a box of chocolates. Starts well balanced with light acidity, the finish is bold and toasty and hangs around long after the last swallow. The full body is creamy and soft to lively. The finish feels dry. Thanks to my roomate Scott for looking out for me with such a great hookup.
