Commercial Description:
Sundog is an ale whose amber color is as deep as the copper glow of a Lake Michigan sunset. Its Biscuit malt and Fuggle hops give it a toasty character and a subtle, malty sweetness. We believe Sundog is the deepest, richest amber you'll find anywhere.

Bottled. Amber colour, average head. Soapy, hoppy grapefruit aroma. Dry with clean mouthfeel. Grapefruit & apricot jam in the finish along with salty licorice and a healthy dose of of bitterness. All focus on the hops. Technical perfection, but lack of soul.

clear amber, frothy beige head, drippy lace, caramel aroma with light sweetness and a musty earthyness, lots of bitter flavor, dry caramel tries to balance the bitterness, bitterness comes early and stays late,

(bottle) Clear amber body topped by large beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, bread, caramel, some spice. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, bread, light earthy. Smooth light-medium body. Decent enough amber, but nothing special.

Bottle... Mostly clear orange ale with a small, frothy, white head. Good retention. The aroma and flavor are of boiled shellfish; shrimp and mussels, specifically. This batch is just a DMS bomb! I’ve never smelled or tasted levels this high! Light to medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Lengthy, bitter, dry finish. Absolute drain pour! Infection? Closed boil? A shame! There was potential here...

Pretty decent amber with a body the color of the style. It sports a tall, dense, chunky head, the kind that it’s fun to watch as it slowly collapses. The aroma is sweet, malty, and fruity with some floral hop scents. Medium bodied, it has a toasty malt flavor, sweet, with oranges and apples and a mild hop bitterness. Nice bitter/sour finish. Good session stuff.

Light amber color with a moderate lid of off white bubbles. Earthy, floral fruity aromas. Smooth feel. Malty and a bit nutty. Somewhat earthy. A solid amber.
