I enjoyed a 6er with the iceman and i found this beer to be an enjoyable pilsner. So drink up and remember...dude he’s a fuckin petter-ass, he’s sex offender. ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 27, 2008 Very floral nose with a hint of wheat and sawdust. Pours well, amber. The tight stiff mostly lasting creamy white head leaves lovely webby lace. This brew has really decent depth. Honestly I wasn’t expecting much, but it delivers big in the flavor department. Amber ale has to be the most wide open style IMO; definitely like a box of chocolates. Starts well balanced with light acidity, the finish is bold and toasty and hangs around long after the last swallow. The full body is creamy and soft to lively. The finish feels dry. Thanks to my roomate Scott for looking out for me with such a great hookup.

Dark Amber color, nice hops and malt. Good gravity and full bodied flavor an amber should have. Not as big a gap between Anderson Valley Boont as the rating says there is. A gap yes but I think this is better than it current rating. Tubbfan (144), Joliet, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 16, 2005 Poured a rusty amber from a 12 oz bottle resulting in an off-white head that didn’t last, but the lacing remained on the glass. I must be having problems with my nose, because I can’t smell anything yet I know it has an aroma because I can taste some of what should be smell. The flavor is of toasted malt initially, then some hop bitterness. Sharp carbonation and a rusty/metallic flavor at the end. The aftertaste is dry - it takes away all the slick texture in my mouth. I like this combination of malt and hops. nearbeer (1881), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 1, 2008 12 oz. Darkish copper and clear, with a three-finger head that persists and leaves creamy frosting on the glass. Faint aroma of earthy spiced apple. Flavor is initially similar, then has added touches of toasted grain, caramel, dried wood, and roasted walnut. Nearly medium body is smooth, dryish, and has a light acidic tingle. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 6, 2009 Pour from 12oz bottle. Deep copper / amber color. Thin but persistent head and clings to the sides of the glass as the beer is drained. Wonderfully rich and complex aroma – malt, hops, floral, butterscotch – all there. Very tasty. A fine amber ale.
