Commercial Description:
This stout is sheer beer poetry. Let it warm to about 45 F and pour it into a glass to fully experience its rich, roasty flavors and hints of coffee and chocolate. One glass and you'll agree: The Poet is truly a rich, creamy brew of epic proportions.

Bottle.Pours the normal stout black, with a thin tan head. There is nothing that really stands out in the aroma or flavor, rather everything is subtle, nice dark malt ,and dark fruit flavors, and aromas with a hint of coco, and a tiny grain hint at the very end. Very Enjoyable, Cool label too.

12oz. Pours black with a 1 ring of a tan head. Nose is chocolatly and full of coffee. Taste is sweet and slick and pretty good. Not a bad sweet stout.

Bottle thanks to mmm///beer, thanks man!; Pours a black body with a medium light brown head. The aroma is very nice; bitter chocolate, roasted malts, some dark fruit and some brown sugar. The flavor is similar; a light coffee aspect, some rich chocolates and dark fruit, a mild bitter coffee bean and hops in the finish. As it warmed the sweet prunes and plum came out more and the bitterness receded. One thing I like about this beer is that the coffee is not overdone, something that happens all the time. Very nice. It seems like forever since I had a nice stout. My only complaint is the body was a bit too thin, otherwise quite nice.

12oz bottle. Pours a deep chocolate brown, almost black. Head was a dark beige and disappeared quickly. Nose of sweet cocoa, toffee, and hints of instant coffee. Flavor was not overly sweet, good balance.

Bottle. I love the name and the label. The beer itself has mild aroma with faint notes of coffee. Minimal head. Body is rather thin on the palate for a stout (even a sweet stout) but the flavor is quite good and surprisingly refreshing with roasted flavors not overpowering.

From bottle. Light coffee aroma with mild dark chocolate, carbonic gaseousness, licorice and some lactic sweetness. Twizzlers and some molasses. Dark brown-black clear with thin off-white lacing head. Medium-heavy watery body with medium carbonation and carbonic acidity. Starts with a bit of chocolate and coffee, burnt sugar and molasses sweetness. Licorice. A tad smoky. Pretty good bittering in the finish, leaving you with a nutty-bitter-chocolate taste.
