Aroma of brown sugar, lightly toasted malts, coffee, and chocolate. Flavors of semi-sweet chocolate, roasted malts, and a hint of coffee. Bitter cocoa and coffee finish. Actually kind of bitter for a sweet stout, but it is enjoyable. Medium-bodied with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. BrewCzar (108), St Louis, Missouri, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 21, 2008 Pours from 12 oz bottle fairly black, forming light brown foamy head. Aroma of chocolates, mild coffee with a tinge of cherry. Flavour is what you might expect, sweet coffee with chocolate tones, oatmeal can be detected witha bit of caramel toffee. Not very carbonated, however this adds some character. As an IPA lover, this beer somewhat surprised me, very easy drinking, would be great on a cold, snow filled mountain side cabin.
