Commercial Description:
This stout is sheer beer poetry. Let it warm to about 45 F and pour it into a glass to fully experience its rich, roasty flavors and hints of coffee and chocolate. One glass and you'll agree: The Poet is truly a rich, creamy brew of epic proportions.

Very nice brew. Pours black with red around the edges. White head disappears quickly. Aroma is burnt coffee and roasted malt. Taste is coffee, chocolate and more roastiness. Finishes very smooth...yum!

Bottle. Pours a black black with white lacing. Aroma is roasty and some bread. The taste is smooth, with nice warm roast and flavors of coffee and bready oats.

Poured super dark brown with lighter ruby on the edges. The head was tan and offered up bits of lace. The aroma was toasted malts, thin coffee and slightly nutty. The flavor was malts and chocolate with cheap coffee on the backside that left a sour twang. Thin, unremarkable mouthfeel.

Translucent black with reddish-brown highlights, thick foamy beige head. Lightly roasted barley malt and milk chocolate aroma hides a punchy dark chocolate/black coffee flavor with a touch of almond extract. A bit light for a stout, but medium body nonetheless. Not terribly sweet either, this is a well-balanced, if not memorable, beer.
