Commercial Description:
This stout is sheer beer poetry. Let it warm to about 45 F and pour it into a glass to fully experience its rich, roasty flavors and hints of coffee and chocolate. One glass and you'll agree: The Poet is truly a rich, creamy brew of epic proportions.

GABF 2007. Dark pour. Nice roasted malty aromas. Chocolate and coffee. Nice flavor too. Very roasty with decent dark fruit notes. Pretty tasty

Had This on draft at Teller’s in Hyde Park a suburb of Cincinnati..If you have not had this on draft i highly recommend trying it on draft to enjoy the true beauty of this stout. Creamy sweet nice carmel roasted malt overtones. Gentle on the palette and easy to drink alcohol hidden very well and was an awesome choice with my steak dinner!

Bottle. A light black/dark brown pour with a very small head that was gone instantly into a ring. Aroma of chocolate, oatmeal, roasted malt. A "light" tasting easy drinking stout. Heavier on the aroma than the taste. Enjoyable, but not much there really. Everything in the aroma is there, but its not very thick in the taste. Too thin for me. With the palate, you taste it an its gone. About it. Overall, its alright, but definitely not what I hoped for.

Black with no head. More chocolate than coffee flavor. Roasted malts with just a bit of a bitter finish. A bit thin. A nice complex easy to drink stout.

Bottle picked up this summer; poured a dark, cola brown with a small to medium light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt,/coffee milk sweetness and hints of chocolate. Just slightly thin on the palate, but the palate was nice overall. Flavor had some light chalkiness in the finish. Flavor was a blend of chocolate, roasted malt, oats and sweetness. Easy drinking and solid brew.

12 oz bottle. Pours a medium brown with ruby highlights. Small tan head. Nose was of dry coffee. Slightly burnt. Mouthfeel was surprisingly light and dry for a stout. Flavor was mildly of coffee and oatmeal. This was an ez drinking light stout.
