Commercial Description:
This stout is sheer beer poetry. Let it warm to about 45 F and pour it into a glass to fully experience its rich, roasty flavors and hints of coffee and chocolate. One glass and you'll agree: The Poet is truly a rich, creamy brew of epic proportions.

Black with no head. More chocolate than coffee flavor. Roasted malts with just a bit of a bitter finish. A bit thin. A nice complex easy to drink stout.

Bottle picked up this summer; poured a dark, cola brown with a small to medium light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt,/coffee milk sweetness and hints of chocolate. Just slightly thin on the palate, but the palate was nice overall. Flavor had some light chalkiness in the finish. Flavor was a blend of chocolate, roasted malt, oats and sweetness. Easy drinking and solid brew.

12 oz bottle. Pours a medium brown with ruby highlights. Small tan head. Nose was of dry coffee. Slightly burnt. Mouthfeel was surprisingly light and dry for a stout. Flavor was mildly of coffee and oatmeal. This was an ez drinking light stout.

12 oz. bottle. Pours an extremely dark ruby red with a small off white head. The aroma is light chocolate, roasted malts, with an earthiness. The flavor is pretty standard for the style with semi sweet chocolate, roasted malts, and a smooth finish. The finish is a touch dry. Medium mouthfeel.

Bottle at Chris´s, october 07. Dark, opaque color with a medium yellowish head. Bitter chocolate, mild flavor with some chalky notes. Restrained aroma, some toasty notes. Medium mouthfeel, silky and gentle. Nice, quaffable oatmeal stout.

Very dark, almost black in color. Practically no head. Aroma and taste is typical of an oatmeal sweet. High in maltiness and chocolate. Not bad.
