Nose of sweet cereal, caramel, chocolate covered berries, and figs. Pours black with garnet highlights, the nice cascade resolves into an uber creamy mostly lasting head the color of an apple slice that has been sitting out about 30 minutes, good lace is left behind. The huge malty front has no acidity with a lingering roasted finish. The full, chewy body is lively, the finish is lightly astringent.

Not much carbonation. I never get that excited about trying a new stout, but this was a good beer. I would drink again. Guerde (712), Welcome, Minnesota, USA
