Commercial Description:
This stout is sheer beer poetry. Let it warm to about 45 F and pour it into a glass to fully experience its rich, roasty flavors and hints of coffee and chocolate. One glass and you'll agree: The Poet is truly a rich, creamy brew of epic proportions.

Bottle: Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Aroma, sweet chocolate malts, some oats, coffee. Flavor, thin and sweet, oats, chocolate, kinda rough around the edges, roasty. Not my favorite.

Had one of these after work the other night. Nose of sweet cereal, caramel, chocolate covered berries, and figs. Pours black with garnet highlights, the nice cascade resolves into an uber creamy mostly lasting head the color of an apple slice that has been sitting out about 30 minutes, good lace is left behind. The huge malty front has no acidity with a lingering roasted finish. The full, chewy body is lively, the finish is lightly astringent.

Pours black with a fully receding light brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roast malt, and coffee. Tastes of sweet roasted barley, foamy chocolate, plum, raisin, and toffee. Mouthfeel is full bodied with lush, smooth carbonation.

Draft. Pours brown/black with red highlights and a small tan head. Deep aroma of roasty, burnt cocoa. Nice smell. Full mouthfeel, roasty chocolate taste. Smooth and easy to drink. This is pretty good.

12oz bottle. Poured a dark brown with red edges and an averaged sized tan head. Aromas of roast, milk chocolate, cocoa and light coffee. Tastes of milk chocolate, roast, and a light coffee finish. Body on the somewhat thin side.

Bottle - Pours a dark black with a heartly tan head. Plently of chocolate and carmal flavor. Not much carbonation. I never get that excited about trying a new stout, but this was a good beer. I would drink again.

(bottle, thanks Brewfiend) Pours dark with ruby around the edges and a nice tan head. Nice aroma of roasted coffee. Flavors of dark chocolate with a nice roasted coffee finish that was slightly bitter. Not bad at all.

Black color with solid oatmeal and roasted malts on the nose. Slightly watery finish with a similar flavor profile to the aroma.
