Commercial Description:
This stout is sheer beer poetry. Let it warm to about 45 F and pour it into a glass to fully experience its rich, roasty flavors and hints of coffee and chocolate. One glass and you'll agree: The Poet is truly a rich, creamy brew of epic proportions.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. This oatmeal stout poured a super dark brown color with a thin, bubbly, dark tan head that quickly faded away. No lace. The aroma consisted of milk chocolate, roasted malts, a note of mocha coffee, and also a slight hint of hops at the backend. The flavor was made up of strong, rich milk chocolate, coffee, and just a hint of roast. The roasted malt definately took a backseat to the chocolate. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and lightly creamy with minimal carbonation, finishing just slightly bitter. An excellent stout.

bottle - Pours very dark brown with a one finger head. The aroma has plenty of chocolate and dark roast malt. Similar flavors are abundant and very tasty. Medium with some light hops in the finish, this stout is very good.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Slightly hazy chestnut brown with a handsome, beige head that leaves some lacework. There’s a weak aroma of roasted malt. Medium body with lightly roasted malt notes and a dry, slightly bitter finish. A VERY thin finish. Disappointing. 150807

Dark brown color with red hue. Roasted malt and dark caramel, with a hint of coffee, capuccino and hop. Don’t seek anything else here.
