Commercial Description:
This stout is sheer beer poetry. Let it warm to about 45 F and pour it into a glass to fully experience its rich, roasty flavors and hints of coffee and chocolate. One glass and you'll agree: The Poet is truly a rich, creamy brew of epic proportions.

12 oz bottle. Nice, easy drinking stout. Lots of nice roasty malts, but it was a little watery. Kind of reminded me of Guinness, minus the Nitro pour. That’s a compliment, but I have to admit I was expecting something a little thicker. Pretty good.

nice stout that grew on me. smooth with good blend of flsvors. my only knock is that it is a bit thin for a stout - borderline porter.

Dark brown color with a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee and wood smoke. Tasty, roasted oats, caramel, and a touch of smoke. Slight abv. finish. Not a bad stout, nothing too spectacular though.

Pours very dark, almost black, very little foam. Strong roasted coffee aroma. Tastes smokey, coffee flavor and a bit of chocolate, bitter aftertaste. A bit thinner than I expected, but pretty good.

I drank this colder than I should have, but even cold this beer is awesome. Pour was a dark black with a thin little tan head. Aroma of cream, chocolate and Werthers. Nice creamy mouthfeel with good carbonation. Thick chocolate, with come coffee notes in the background. Nice bitter aftertaste. After drinking mostly wheats and pilseners for this beginning of summer, it was refreshing to drink something with some meat to it again.
