Commercial Description:
This stout is sheer beer poetry. Let it warm to about 45 F and pour it into a glass to fully experience its rich, roasty flavors and hints of coffee and chocolate. One glass and you'll agree: The Poet is truly a rich, creamy brew of epic proportions.

Bottle. Pitch black coloring. 1/2" head. Lacy. Cereal, malty, bready. Milk smooth entry with powerful and pleasing oatmeal nostril exhale. Body is thin - bordering on a little too watery, but flavor is rich and bountiful. A truly quality stout and a new favorite. Especially happy to find this in South Carolina in the land of ABV restrictions.

Poured from bottle. Dark with a huge tan foamy head. Smelled like sweet malts. Taste was sweet malt, coffee, toffee, and even some saltiness. Bitter finish, with a lingering coffee taste...Pretty light mouthfeel for a stout. I liked this. Very drinkable!

Pours black with a nice tan lasting head and some pretty nice lacing. Aroma is malts, cocoa, touches of smoke, and coffee. Flavor is bigger coffee, chocolate, roasted nuts. A light bitter bite in the finish. Very good overall.

Pours a little light for a stout. The smell is very good, full of coffee, malt aroma. Taste is solid, but a little on the lighter side. Coffee + chocolate and a hint of alcohol, very drinkable.

Pours a brownish-black with a fizzy cream-colored head and minimal lacing. Scents of roasted malt, and maybe an underlying espresso and mocha. Tingly mouth feel was definitely not what I was expecting, wanted something a little smoother. Some dark fruit, chocolate, and coffee flavors that lingers throughout from start to finish. Pretty decent stout.

Black color with an good, long lasting head. Chocolate with heavy coffee and cream flavors. Tasted a bit watered down and too sweet for my liking.

Deep, dark brown, nearly black. Tastes of coffee blended with sweet caramel. Another new favorite.
