May 4, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pitch black, nice long lasting tan head. Aroma is chocolate malt(similair to Whoppers candy) and coffee with heavy cream. A slight toastyness completes the nose making it almost perfect. Full bodied and creamy this beer was a touch bitter right out of the bottle. Mellowed out with time but I would love to try this on tap.

Apr 28, 2007 Poured a dark black, minimal head, little laciong after the pour. Had this one with my meal and found that it was a loittle to sweet for the steak. Otherwise a decent brew with a distinct sweet caramel and light coffee undertones. Wasn’t as thick as I thought it would be.

Apr 21, 2007 Taste the coffee and chocolate. Almost has a vanilla like aroma though, just an overall sweet aroma.

Apr 7, 2007 Bottle from Party Source in Bellevue, KY. Pours a translucent deep brown with a small dissapating tan head. Aroma of dark roast and cocoa powder. Medium mouthfeel with some mild creaminess, and perhaps a tad watery in texture. Initial flavor of nuts, bitter watered down coffee, and bakers chocolate. Bitter and burnt finish, with some dryness . Not very sweet for the style. But not bad.

Mar 31, 2007 Updated: Apr 11, 2007Poured dark brown black with ruby covered in tan foam, roasted malt and sweet chocolate fragrances, coffee ground aroma mixed with some earthiness, some hop flower bouquet, faint citrus aroma, little smoke in the background here and there, smooth roasted malt taste, bitter coffee flavor, hop bite in the finish, faint chocolate on the tongue, medium mouth feel or less, I found very little sweetness in this drink, it is easy to drink and smooth but hardly any sweetness about it, the hop bite appears to override the sweet taste, there is a bitter finish to this drink.

Mar 30, 2007 Pours a black color with little head. Aroma is of burnt grain, semi-sweet chocolate, and light hops to balance everything out.

Mar 24, 2007 Pours nearly black with a thin brownish head. Nice aroma of coffee and chocolate. Heavy on the palate like a stout should be. Good flavor with notes of bitter chocolate and cereal (maybe oatmeal?). Bitter aftertaste. A good stout.
