Commercial Description:
This stout is sheer beer poetry. Let it warm to about 45 F and pour it into a glass to fully experience its rich, roasty flavors and hints of coffee and chocolate. One glass and you'll agree: The Poet is truly a rich, creamy brew of epic proportions.

Dark brown color, thick looking, malty and chocolaty aroma, thinner bodied than expected, drinks more like a porter than a stout, very nice chocolate and roasty flavors, mild hop flavor.

Dark brown body with a small tan head that quickly fades. The aroma is roasted coffee, dark chocolate and molases. The flavor is roast, slightly burnt, light chocolate and brown sugar. Medium body with a slightly thin and watery texture.

Thick black color, with a brown, disappearing head. Apparently New Holland has ingratiated itself with an entirely uninspiring brand of poetry. Bland aromas and flavors characterized by old coffee grounds and bitter dark chocolate, a bit. Just dull, and slightly soapy and astringent. Gritty, ugly.

Bottle. Solid black color with a laced brown head. A nice and strong roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and light fruit (sour) aroma. Rich coating malts with a long chocolate finish. Initially sweet, finishs dry, with milk chocolate.

pours black and muddy, creamy brown head. Aroma is heavyly malted, cookies, toasted chocolate. Flavor is well balanced great example of style, finishes lightly bitter with toasted malts. Meduim to full bodied oily and creamy softly carbonated. Overall very nice, cant wait to try it on tap.
