Nov 28, 2005 Updated: Dec 9, 2005Bottle. Pours black with a large tan head. Aroma is of roasty malts and coffee. Flavor is roasty, with hints of chocolate and coffee, notes of hoppiness in the finish. Very silky on the palate. Good beer.

Nov 14, 2005 12oz bottle pours black with a tan head that settles quickly back to a film and laces a little down the glass. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malts. Taste is mostly roasted. Notes of chocolate and coffee also abound. Palate is smooth, mouthcoating and carbonated just about right. Nice roasty aftertaste stays with you for a bit. Also some detectable hops at the end. A nice stout. Malty roasty and delicious.

Oct 19, 2005 A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet roasted combined with notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of coffee, and chocolate, as well as light wood notes. The finish is like a good bitter dark dessert chocolate.
