donteatpoop (112), Youngstown, Ohio, USA Jun 4, 2008 Poured really dark, came out thick too; only a little bit of tan head resting at the top of it.
Smelled like a stout, vaguely chocolatey, roasted malts, and an underlying hoppy aroma.
Tasted great, had the initial "stout kick" but the oatmeal smoothed it out nicely. This was a great, well balanced stout that I could drink time and time again.

Rynoplasty (253), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pours near black with a nice cream colored head. Aroma is roasted malts. Taste is nice and of roasted malts, light in body for a stout, but with a nice slight bitterness from the oatmeal. Another very easy to drink beer. Boutip (1815), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Oct 10, 2008 Bottle: Poured a clear black color ale with an average size foamy head with average retention but good lacing. Aroma consists of medium sweet chocolate with some light coffee notes. Taste is also dominated by light roasted malt notes with some medium sweet chocolates notes offset by some dry coffee. Full body with some medium carbonation. Very well done for the style and easily drinkable. stoutlover72 (1336), NorCal, California, USA Oct 6, 2008 Another beer I received in a trade with mmm///beer, so again, thanks. A very easy to enjoy beer with enough depth of flavor to enjoy as the beer’s temp changes. It starts out chocolatey then switches to a subtle roasty character, and then it all gets wrapped up in a nice dark fruit combo near the end. I think the chocolate notes were the components I enjoyed the most. Great looking beer in the glass too. A nice beer for sure. beerbill (1321), Laurel, New York, USA Oct 5, 2008 12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with jgd0608. Pours black with a moderate off-white head that faded to a film at mid-glass and left a considerable patchwork of lace all the way until the last sip. Very pleasant aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is more roasted malt than chocolate. Mild bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied. A solid stout. Dastrn (69), Warsaw, Indiana, USA Oct 5, 2008 A great representative of the style! The flavor was roasted malt, chocolate, and espresso. The mouthfeel was nice and chewy. I really enjoyed this stout and would definitely try it again!
