bigtaster (112), Grand Rapids, USA Jun 8, 2008 12oz bottle in weizen glass. Has a yellow orange seltzer look to with with small white head disappearing quickly. Sweet malty aroma of yeast and some orange/citrus. Not much flavor, there is a acidic quality to it and light grapefruit flavors. Refreshing but not up to par.
DocLock (4085), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 26, 2008 Bottle from Pat’s. Pours semi-hazy medium straw color with frothy white head. Nose is limey citrus, some spicy yeasty notes, and pale malt. Tastes wheaty malty, with a pronounced limey citrus, some clovey spice, and mild yeasty notes. I liked this a tad more than most, but it seems like I favor wits in general more than most. PolakPorter (60), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 25, 2008 Looks like a wheat beer, maybe a little too clear, but certainly wheatable. Smells like a wheat beer, light yeasty citrus. Tastes like how a sweaty gym sock smells. Disgusting aftertaste that took a week to get rid of. Could not finish. Possibly had a bad one, though it was in code. So overall: horrible. Any other summer offering beats the hell out of this one. WakeandBake (36), Greenville, Michigan, USA Aug 23, 2008 Bottle. A pale, hazy, straw color with a minimal head of white foam. Kind of a Citrusy hop aroma with some lemon/orange zest, yeast and biscuts. Flavor ? well I just do not care for what is going on here,a little too fruity for me folks, nice try but misses the mark. I plan to try some other New Holland products though. hogan873 (184), Joliet, Illinois, USA Aug 17, 2008 Cloudy yellow body with a thin white head. Aroma is yeast and citrus with a hint of grass. The palate works well for a wheat beer. Thin, a bit chalky, and light carbonation. There is some malty sweetness up front that quickly turns bitter (but not in a bad way). The citrus flavors are more like lemon and lime zest. Clean, albeit a bit soapy finish. A good wheat beer. illkarate (41), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Aug 16, 2008 12oz bottle, seems to be really fresh... when I opened it there was a definite fresh-cut grass smell to it. Pours a nice golden-hay color with a minimal head. Decent lacing for such a light beer. Tastes of grass, straw, lemon and a floral background. There is a nice, crisp bitterness to it. It is definitely not a "knock your socks off" type of beer, but it is pretty damn good on a hot day. No problem downing a sixer of this... solo.
