Commercial Description:
The Lompoc brewers, using sound brewing science, have recreated an Old World classic. Brewdolph, a Belgian-style specialty ale, is the featured Lompoc winter ale. The light amber color introduces the drinker to a soft and tasty malted flavor. Hop presence is subdued, while pear and other light fruit aromas and flavors swirl about the nose and palate. Brewdolph is a fun and interesting beer to fortify and warm you through the cold winter season.

Draft at the brewpub. This is one STRONG tasting brew. Wouldn’t be suprised if it were > 8.8%. Huge nutmeg presence.

Holiday Ale Fest 08... Poured deep amber, almost brown, with a light brown head. Fruity, plum and candy aroma. Silky palate with flavors of hops and alcohol. Sorta like tootsie roll flavors that were very sweet in the finish. The festival had this labeled as a Belgian Dark Strong Ale.

I am not the biggest fan of Winter Belgians, but a high ABV helps this ale more than most.

Had this at the Holiday Beer Fest in PDX, 12/2. My only physical notes on this is that it is BIG and fruity-sweet. NOL has achieved this reputation with me for presenting big and flavorful beers.

On tap at the Hedge House in Portland, OR--Orange and copper body with a wispy white head. Nutty mild yeast nose. Sharp fruit flavors with a generous scent of spices and hops.
