Jun 8, 2008 Cask at Horse Brass Pub, Portland, Oregon. A hazy amber beer with a thin bubbly off-white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of hops and grass. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of grass, leading to a very bitter finish.

Aug 5, 2006 Cloudy amber. Woody, grapefruity, leafy aroma. Moderate bitterness. Lots of toasty, caramelly malts and chewy, woody hops. Not bad, but a bit too much crystal malt for my liking.

Jul 24, 2004 (RBSG04) Clear amber body with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, grapefruit, some pine. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, orange, some pine, herbal. Medium body with chalky finish.

Jun 8, 2004 Tap@New Old Lompoc. Pretty good stuff, pretty hoppy, as you’d expect. Pretty sweet hops at first, lychee. Piney. Pretty much your usual USIPA, pretty decent balance, quite rich and sweet.

Nov 6, 2006 On tap at New/Old Lompoc on NW 23rd Avenue, Portland. Hazy copper colour, lasting off white head. Sweet sherbert hop aroma. Rose petal fruit in mouth. Malt is ok. But is then overtaken by this huge mix of sherberty sweet hop. Not astringent nor overly bitter, but just extreme sherbert. Some grapefruit. Finish starts as beer begins. Just way too hoppy. Nice rose petal and grapefruit though.
