JoeM500 (1877), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA Oct 7, 2007 Pint. Draft at the Hedge House, Portland. Surprisingly good, hoppy pale ale. Most selections here were very light in flavor and body. This and the C-Note were both big tasty beers. The Condor hinted sappy pine in the nose and bitey, acidic grapefruit in the flavor. Bigger caramel malts than thier other beers helped balance it, good weight, medium mouthfeel.
Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 21, 2008 Draft. A hazy light amber beer with a thin light tan head. The aroma is lightly sweet malty. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and light notes of straw, leading to a lightly bitter finish. hotstuff (3038), Indiana, USA Feb 1, 2008 Draft at NOLB, Portland, OR. Small tan head that mostly diminished, next to no lacing, visible carbonation, transparent, and a golden hue. Nose was caramel, hoppy and toffee. Flavor was caramel, hoppy and malty. Smooth mouthfeel and medium body. Easy drinking beer, but not totally true to style in the nose and flavor. bhensonb (2861), Woodland, California, USA Dec 20, 2007 Draft at the brewpub. Roasted malt aroma. Mahogany color with a decent white head. Medium body with mild carbonation. Something of a winter warmer impact. Sweetly caramelly. This is not a typical APA (wondering whether they mixed kegs). Somehow floral hop seems to balance at the finish. Seems a cross between an APA and a brown. Good though. Angeloregon (1867), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 18, 2007 On tap at the Hedge House in PDX--Poured a light, slear copper golden body more on the golden side. Decent white head. A wonderful session beer than finished clean and floral. Tastey! troopie (478), USA Nov 14, 2007 Draught at Hedge House. Poured clear gold with white head. Faint aroma. Thin body with a little hoppiness and a little maltiness. A bit of pepperiness in the flavour as well. Thin finish.
