Draft. A pitch black beer with a rim of brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of roasted malt. THe flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as lighter notes of roasted malt, leading to a slightly bitter finish.

Draft at New Old Lompoc Brewery, Portland, OR. Tan head that was mostly lasting, opaque, no visible carbonation, and a dark brown hue. The nose was malty, coffee and roasty and ditto for the flavor, but thin tasting. Mouthfeel was smooth and thin. Quaffable, easy drinking but thin for the style.

Draught nitro. Poured black with thick creamy tan head. Much lacing. Plummy aroma. Malty flavour with bittersweet chocolate and coffee notes. Bittersweet finish. I like stout and this is a worthy effort.

Draft nitro sample at the Hedge House, Portland. Creamy and fluffy with hints of vanilla and smaller hints of fresh roasted coffee. Baker’s chocolate in the finish. Thin for the style, but holding good amount of flavor.

This draft brew from the brew pub poured a head of foamy finely sized light brown colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a opaque no visible carbonation dark brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The smooth aroma was malty and brown malt. The smooth mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of roasted malt and dark malt. A decent one that I would consider buying again.
