AxeMaster221 (343), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 28, 2002 Black, with a slight bit of brown showing at the edges of the glass. Creamy , tan nitro head diminished slowly, but hung on clear to the bottom of the glass, and left nice lacing. Mild malt aroma. Roasted malt flavors, with a trace of coffee/chocolate. A very creamy front, probably due to the nitro, a smooth middle, and a nicely bitter bite in the finish. Very nice indeed. weusebio (69), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 28, 2003 Black and smoky. The smoothness (thank you nitro) is unparalleled. However, while it's better than guinness (if you ask me), it's still a pretty similar experience. troopie (478), USA Nov 28, 2007 Draught nitro. Poured black with thick creamy tan head. Much lacing. Plummy aroma. Malty flavour with bittersweet chocolate and coffee notes. Bittersweet finish. I like stout and this is a worthy effort. Humulone_Red (743), Vancouver, Washington, USA Aug 8, 2004 Clear dark red with good head and lacing. Sweet maltyand roasty nose. Smooth and creamy in texture. Sweet malt up front with a roasty bite and a smooth finish. Good stout. CaptKirk (175), Hephzibah, Georgia, USA Oct 20, 2005 Nice deep reddish color with a sweet roasted aroma. Has a chocolate overtones and finished clean and very smooth for a stout. This is my favorite from Lompoc and I will definitely have it again if in the area.
