raphael (277), Portland, Oregon, USA Jun 8, 2008 At oaks bottom. Caramel, molasses, slight hop edge. darkest brown, tan head that hangs on. some fizz in the mouth but also the flat oily weight. strong hop flavors of citrus and pine, too strong for the brown sugar & roasted malt hints
DA (2474), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Sep 1, 2008 On tap at the Hedge House. Pours dark mahogany with a soft light tan head. Smokey body, almost placebos the mind into a beef jerky like grandeur, rich and hearty. The bitterness was strong enough to bring up the finish. Probably just a trick of the brain, but felt salty up front, but that could be due to previous jerky experiences. Solid beer, while not as full bodied as something like Orkney Skullsplitter, still along those lines with a stronger hop dose. stchloe (197), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 29, 2008 Well first its called LSD. Secondly has bitterness. Third a brown and a hefty ABV. It kind of is a cult classic beer. SuzyGreenberg (1044), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 28, 2008 sampler @ brewery - now i’m not one to say no to liquid LSD, so gave this one a shot; clear, dark amber; maltiness is there, but not very strong; hops more obvious in the aromas; drinks smooth and on the bland side; best part is the name :) Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 23, 2008 Draft. A dark deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as a light touch of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and malt, leading to a dry bitter finish.
