00cobraR (1096), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Nov 30, 2004 well this is a bit better than new souths other offering that i have had. Pours a coppery colorwith a slight head. aroma is a bit hoppy but still not a really wonderful brew. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA Oct 31, 2004 i dont like english pale ales, and this one is not one to like even if you do. im not sure these guys really brew a beer that is all that impressive. they certainly need to do some work on their beers. there is potential, but without the use of hops yeast malts or barley, it becomes more difficult to make beer. sampled at brewgrass 04 on draught. ChazyRPh (571), Chazy, New York, USA Nov 5, 2003 Drank this at Broadway on the Beach in Myrtle Beach. Orangish/copper with minimal head (Don't know how long the bartender let it sit), nice hoppy aroma. Smooth drinkable pale ale, some bitter bite. Good finish. Decent beer. Suttree (2702), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 16, 2003 Brewgrass Festival, Asheville, NC 2003. Brownish orange. Bready malty aroma. Piney, earthy hop flavor, then a faint but persistant malt presence. A nice session ale. wilkie (1189), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Aug 14, 2003 Coppery malty flavor. Nothing more than a usual pale ale. Not bad, not great. Low on hops in the finish. Smooth finish, however.
