Jan 6, 2008 Tap @ the brewpub. Poured a hazy light copper color. Light citrus and malt aroma. The flavor was a mix of caramel malt and grapefruit with a citrus hop mildly bitter semi-dry finish. The finish was fairly long. Light side of medium body. Some pine notes.

Jan 5, 2008 Oak barrel aged on cask version: clear orange pour with a minimal head, the flavor is very orange citrusy, rather than the usual bitter citrus in an IPA, different and tasty.

Dec 5, 2007 OC Tour, tap at brewpub: Hazy deep golden hue with a small foamy head. The aroma has notes of pineapple and mango esters, piney and floral hop, pepper, and biscuity malt. The taste starts with a nice bitterness over a layer of pale and caramel malt. Acidic, herbal and pepper notes also found. The mouth feel is aggressive and sharp which matched the flavor profile very well. A good IPA and worth a try.
