Clear golden-amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, grapefruit, caramel. Taste is medium sweet, caramel and grapefruit up top, finishing strong grapefruit. Decent bitterness but does not linger much. Medium body.

Floral citrus aroma with some sweet bready malt. Pours a darker gold color. Notes of perfume and grapefruit in the flavor and some moderately sweet bready malt. Finishes very crisp. A clean APA.

(Draft: Newport Beach Brewing Company in Newport Beach, CA) This is beer number 3 at this place, and this beer is better than the first two I tried. It couldn’t possibly get worse. This has a fairly light hops flavor, a bit citrusy, only mildly bitter for an IPA, but there’s so little maltiness that the hops jumps out. Mild sweetness. Lightly hoppy and mildly sweet nose. Clean, crisp palate, light to medium in body. Light golden color. Small white head fades quickly to a spotty film. Decidedly average for an IPA. Next!

On draft at NBBC. This is a nicely done APA. It hits you with a great hoppy aroma, and backs it up with a good flavor. This was very solid.

On tap at NBBC. The best pale ale I have had in a while. Color was dark gold with an off white head. Aroma was nice with a good amount of citrus and flowers. Flavor was nicely balanced with flowers and citrus again in the finish. Nicely hopped for the style, and the dry hopping was not that pronounced. Sessionable and good.

Clear amber with a fleeting head. Nice piney fresh hop aroma. Medium body. Good flavor of nicely bitter pine hops on a sweet caramel base. Classic Pale Ale.

Light malt at the tip turns to an impressive citric second half. Rounds out with a well balanced bitter/sweet finish.
