Commercial Description:
The '02 represents the third edition of our limited release beer. As in the past, this beer has been brewed with a completely new recipe and follows no particular style guidelines. Again, the 20 barrels of limited production '02 was aged for almost a year before it was released. This year's version is made with a single malt, Marris Otter, which our brewers believe to be the best in the world. In addtion, a variety of hops were added to achieve the 100 IBUs (International Bitterness Units) which creates a distinctive yet surprisingly smooth bite. As always, this product will improve with time, so find a few and enjoy them for years to come. It is extremely limited, extremely strong, and extremely original, because as we like to say around here: "It's All About Extremes."

Again, huge thanks to Casey for this wonderful beer. Beautiful grapey malt, nice and hoppy, grass and citrus rind round out the nose. Flavor has restrained (Aged) hops, brown sugar, plums, smooth as hell. Reminds me of a 7 or so year old rogue barleywine I once had but this one has a LOT more body. Yum.

Auburn red colour. Woody. Sweetness, camel, brown sugar, supercedes 100IBU but who would know, and alcohol hammers home later that same night. Mouthfeel: a meal on its own.My first and hopefully not last Storm, thanks to Casey (DYCSoccer17).

Golden coloured. Fruity aroma. Quite sweet flavour. Dusty and yeasty finish. A bit too thin. Not as bitter as they claim.

A hazy amber beer with a disappearing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of prunes and over ripe fruit, and gooseberries, as well as hints of the alcohol. The flavor is very sweet with strong over ripe fruit notes, as well as wood, and alcohol, leading to a dry spicy end.

Vintage 2002 of course!
Unclear amber colored, thin disappearing head. Full and complex aroma of malt, caramel and fruit such as orange, pineapple and lemon. Interesting! Cookie like flavor with chocolate notes and fruit. Dry and spicy and biding on the tongue. Good, but too extreme and little unbalanced to be great!

(22oz bottle) A very cool periwinkly bottle. Very fresh leaf nose. Elastic and hoppy. Smooth texture with a creamy flavour amongst vanilla, hops and whiskey malt tones. Nice balance. Very good! Thank you MartinT!
