The aroma and taste are damn near identical. Both are salty with a raw barley hit. The only noticeable difference is it smells like it would be sweet, but a lot of bitterness comes out in the taste. Not bad at all. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA

Lots of chocolate-cocoa in the nose and taste with just a hint of raspberry. Full and creamy on the palate, a unique beer. chef201atc (249), Weatherford, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 17, 2007 Cloudy dark copper pour, scant light tan head. Sweet maltiness on the nose, slightly spicey. Palate is slick and smooth, very little carbonation. Flavor is a weird mix of maltiness and tartness, finished with a small amount of hop bitterness. RollinHard (761), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | May 16, 2007 Poured a dark reddish-brown with not much head. Maybe this bottle was odd somehow, but this beer was just really strange. Aroma of pumpkin guts, soured berries, old trash that needs to be taken out, applecores, etc. Despite the rank aroma, this tasted alright at first with some flavors of sweet caramel, brown sugar, wood, light roast---oh, and then the rotten pumpkin guts make their appearance. Finishes a little hot with some raisin and more rotten fruit. I didn’t notice the body and texture much cause I was so confused by the aroma and flavor. Something went wrong at some stage with this beer... ante (2960), Stockholm, Sweden
