Rciesla (871), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Oct 6, 2008 Bottle from Julios. Pours a hazy orange brown with a thick white head. Lots of etoh and bourbon in the nose. Very big in your face etoh. Lots of caramel malt and whiskey. Something just tasted off tho. jake65 (1274), Meridian, Idaho, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bottle enjoyed on 8/23/08: Judging by the other ratings, this must have been an ugly baby that turned into a hot teen. A cloudy copper orange pour with a tiny white head. Aroma of citrus and sweet, candied fruit. Subtle ba notes and that bourbon element. Tastes quite smooth and sweet. Did I mention smooth? Caramel and citrus balance with the ba notes. More light fruitiness and ever so mellow. I wish I could remember who to thank for sending this one to Idaho! pinkzambia (889), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bottle: Non-clear apple cider color with no head. What an aroma - bourbon barrell, definitely. Coconut, alcohol and alcohol. Dude, after two years, this BW is intense. I wonder what it would be like in a couple years. Flavors are strong and lively alcohol presence combined with hops, wood and total sweetness. What a treat! I can’t believe this is only rated 70%! I completely disagree. Thanks jake65 for sharing this beauty! Indiana_Red (1470), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 24, 2008 Hazy golden amber. Small quick thin head. Light sweet fruity aroma. Flavor is light malty with a slow lingering ABV burn reminecint of a wine than beer.
Soft trailer. Appropriatwl faded

BuckeyeBoy (1181), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 24, 2008 Blue Bottle Pours out a hazy amber topped with no head. Aroma of GREATNESS. Some Almond Joy aroma and wood. Tast of sweetness with the coconut and a little more of the ABV burn. Very tasty after 2 years. This would be over the top in a few more years. thanks Jake for my first Rhode Island brew.
