Bottle: pours brown with a small tan head. Big malty aroma and nail polish remover (acetone). Flavor is pretty alcoholic. Caramel and an acetone flavor. Uggh, I can’t stomach this.

Clear, dark crimson color, decent off-brown head. Aroma is rich and malty, molasses and carob calling out, nuts and maple. Smooth entrance on the palate, flavor delivered lightly, politely...dark delights here, same as detected in the nose, and all runs easily off the palate. Strength is felt, but is never bothersome. Very easy drinkability, despite the higher than average alcohol...medium body, soft, malty finish. Nice.

Bottle, 12oz, from Julio’s. Bottle code 6033. Ok nose, cardboard, kinda lagerish, sourdough, little chocolate. Clean reddish brown color, Small head that left a thin hazy top. Sweet bitter flavors, roasty, chocolate, lemon, grass, Medium body, lite creamy oily mouthfeel, dry roasted bitter finish. Good, but somehow extreme and brown just don’t go together for me.

Bottle. Pours copper with a small foamy tan head. Aroma has some light brown sugar notes, light vegetal notes, light malts and nuttiness. Taste is sweet and slightly alcoholic with strong nutty notes, light brown sugar and light hoppiness. Body is thin with mild alcohol warmth. Finish is light alcohol, sweet malts, brown sugar and vegetal notes. Very light nutty notes coming through as well.

Pours with a deep amber-red body topped a medium thick head with some lacing. The aroma and flavor is slightly sweet, grassy and malty but weak and herbal. Medium bodied, smooth and dry.
