| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 11, 2005 Clear, dark crimson color, decent off-brown head.
Aroma is rich and malty, molasses and carob calling out, nuts and maple.
Smooth entrance on the palate, flavor delivered lightly, politely...dark delights here, same as detected in the nose, and all runs easily off the palate.
Strength is felt, but is never bothersome.
Very easy drinkability, despite the higher than average alcohol...medium body, soft, malty finish.
Nice.

Sweet bitter flavors, roasty, chocolate, lemon, grass, Medium body, lite creamy oily mouthfeel, dry roasted bitter finish. Good, but somehow extreme and brown just don’t go together for me.
