Commercial Description:
Henry is an 7.6% abv Munich Dark Ale. With over 75% of the malted barley in this beer being of the Munich Malt variety, the body and flavor of this beer are unmistakable. The full bodied and malty sweet backbone is married to plentiful amounts of roasted malt to give this pitch black ale balance.A variety of German hops are used to add further balance to this unique version of the style.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown body with ruby-hued edges and a thinnish, off-white head. Smell: Toasty dark maltiness with a pinch of unsweetened cocoa and a pervasive grape and prune fruitiness. Taste: Dark malts tasting a bit chocolaty, a bit toasty, but not overly deep in overall character. Tart, twangy fruitiness lurking in there. Very light bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium-low carbonation. Drinkability: Not at all good, unfortunately. I’d recommend you steer well clear of this one and have a Henry or Isabel instead.

12oz bottle. Medium brown color. light brown colored head. Hey, its a root beer. spice aroma. some raisin and chocolate caramel. Acidic flavor. finishes with a lingering toasted malt followed by some hop. Not the most impressive of the cyclone series.

Pours a dark brown root beer like color, very low in carbonation. Extremely light lacing. Smells nicely of rich deep malts. First taste is surprisingly flat tasting with some caramel notes present. Awful mouthfeel as there is a severe lack of carbonation. How can something smell so promising be so disappointing?

12oz bottle, courtesy of argo0. Pours a murky, golden-cola color; thin off-white head. Cola, lightly tart citrus, and basic, bready yeastiness in the aroma. Medium mouthfeel: again, slightly tart citrus and cola upfront; touch of tannins and roughness on the edges; light tartness, almost like a very slight infection emerging (hard to say); basic presence overall; lightly toasty and mildly tarted-up cola. Lengthy finish: cola, lightly tannic maltiness, and some citrus.
