Commercial Description:
This is only available at the brewery during brewery tours. One of the brewmasters told me that they brewed up a batch of this, but decided not to release it. He said that they have so much of it, that it would probably be on tap through much of 2005.

The pour was amber. Tastes citrussy with some nice peppery notes. Not bad at all. Too bad they’re not releasing it.

Tap fresh from berwery. Pours a cloudy amber color. Citrus flavor and nice malt taste.

Tap from breweery. Reminded me of a summer beer and I think this one should leave the brewery and be put into cirrculation. Has a very fruity citusy smell and poured to a small white head and medium body. Orangish amber color. Tastes kind of dry and has a slight bitter aftertaste. This is only the second california common i’ve had besides anchor steam but it was defiantly worth trying and hopefully I’ll get it again.

Growler from brewery. Hoppy, grassy aroma. Slight grapefruit. Light copper, barely any head. Not as flavorful as Anchor Steam. Bitter aftertaste. Below average decent beer.

The nose on this is a slightly metallic and toasted malt nose. Some hints of grapefuit hops also come through. Transparent honey color with an enormous off-white fluffy head. Lots of toasted malts in this guy, with a nice little spicy hop kick to finish. Not bad for a style I don’t care for. Nothing really stands out about this beer, either.
