BelgianBeerGal (1275), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Mar 22, 2009 Traded bottle. Slightly hazy amber-gold colour with a thin white head and nice lacing. Aroma has some pineapple and bubble gum to it. Flavour is a little sweet but some spice in the finish. Not as light and refreshing as I was hoping. Soonah (900), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Mar 20, 2009 From cletus via trade. The pour was a turbid brown and gold with a foamy white head that produced flecks of lacing. The aroma was malt, yeast and citrus. The flavor was very malty with plenty of yeast and citrus as well. Fuller mouthfeel than most wits. Had more personality than most beers of this style. j12601 (1149), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA Mar 7, 2009 Bottle as a bonus from cletus. Pours an almost murky light brown color with a bit of a white head that fades off rather quickly. Citrus and lemon and mint on the nose. Medium bodied and a big minty/bubblegum flavor. Finishes with a slightly medicinal peppermint quality. Interesting take on a wheat beer. dkachur (2315), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Dec 30, 2008 12 ounce bottle courtesy of beerbill. Pours a very hazy peach
color with a thin head. Not too impressive for a witbier. Weak
aroma of banana, clove and grain. Taste is caramel, pineapple,
wheat. Medium bodied. A little disappointing. Beerman6686 (1263), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 22, 2008 Poured a hazy whitish yellow color with a big white head. Aroma was very sweet almost gumball like. Flavor was very sweet, not many spices but extremely sweet and fruity,. reminded me of gumball head without the hops. ChainGangGuy (2522), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Oct 18, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, honey-hued body with a very sparse ring of white bubbles on top.
Smell: Aroma of toasted spices, including clove and ginger with a backdrop of banana and lime fruitiness.
Taste: Toasty, tangy wheat maltiness ushers in tastes of bananas, cloves, ginger and lime. Light, spicy bitterness. Remains toasty for the sweet finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-low carbonation. A bit of a chewy, tongue-coating mouthfeel.
Drinkability: I find the mouthfeel a bit heavy for me and find the lack of refreshing character to be a slight turn off. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Oct 12, 2008 Date: 10/11/2008
