Commercial Description:
Gloria is an 7.3% abv Pumpkin Ale. In addition to the 100s of pounds of pumpkin added to the mash, Gloria has a variety of spices including nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove to balance the malty beer. The deep amber color and warm mouth feel are sure to make you feel warm on a cool night.

12 oz bottle. Pours a deep coppery orange with a thinning fizzy head. Aroma is spicy, dry herbal, earthy, pumpkin spice- nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and hints of ginger? Thin malt backbone in the flavor- gets spciy phenolic, dry dark toasted malts, artificial spices, green, grassy and a slightly harsh weak finish. meh.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of beerbill. Thanks! Pours a hazy orange color with a small head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma is fairly strong pumpkin with a nice spice mix... not to strong but assertive enough. The taste is very similar with some additional caramel notes. Medium bodied.

Bottle... Hazy amber ale with orange highlights and a small, creamy, white head. Smells like pumpkin roll... ahhh, pumpkin roll...spicy... pumpkiny...good! Medium to full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Sweet, pumpkiny, spicy, breadsy – some sugar cookie. Sugary-sweet finish. Thanks to beerbill for the bottle!

Appearance: Pours a clear, amber body capped by an inch of creamy, off-white head. Smell: Sweetish honey and pumpkin meat aroma with some slight toastiness in the background. Taste: Sweet honey-tasting maltiness with a reasonable pumpkin flavor and pumpkin pie spice character. A touch toasty. Light, earthy bitterness. Still ends with a toothsome sweetness, though. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: A mighty fine pumpkin ale. Then again, I’m particularly pro-pumpkin ale, especially during the cool, fall foliaged Autumn months.

Pours orange/yellow, very low in carbonation. Light to no lacing. Smells of nutmeg and cinnamon. First taste is all spice with cloves hitting first followed by nutmeg and cinnamon. Pretty pumpkin like, not bad not great.

Carolina Crew tasting. Bottle courtesy of Todd! Thanks! Clear copper pour. Faint sweet malts and pumpkin aroma. Sweet malts up front. Pumpkin spice on the back. Im not a big pumpkin beer fan, but this was great and not too over the top like most examples of the style.
