Commercial Description:
Hurricane Amber Ale is a full flavored beer which clearly has more taste than other domestic and imported light beers while at the same time does not overpower the drinker with heavy body or excessive bitterness.

Mmm-kay. A an average amber with hints of caramel, biscuit, some nuts, and a slightly grassy hop presence. Sticky aftertaste with some sweetness. Ho hum.

Pours a clear med. amber with a small somewhat fizzy head. Aroma of grassy hops, and caramel malt with some buttery notes. Med-lite body. Grassy Noble hop character with a big smack of diacetyl in the finish. Not nearly clean enought to appeal to those that would drink from a can.

Bottle. Clear light orange/amber with medium white head. Aroma is light malt. Taste is toasty malts and light hop bitterness. Not bad, but nothing too exciting.

Thanks to slikwily for this brew! Pours a clear copper with small fast rising bubbles and a small off-white head that mostly dissipates. Aromas of caramel malt with a buttered toastiness and a sour yeast nose. Dry yeast and malt flavor followed by a dry hoppiness. Palate is fizzy and warming, medium-bodied.

Amber color. On tap at brewery was the last time I had it. Quite good flavor and nice balanced taste. Good job overall but not their best stuff by far.

did not like that at all. Big fizzy head. Amber color. Sweet candy nose. Weird grass taste.

Okay, everything i wrote down about this one, was when i was really three sheets to...but it says it was a step up from a light beer, but not quite deserving of an amber. Pretty much run-o-da-mill B-Lah. Oh well, i’d suggest everyone take the tour and live the dream in the great time that they offer.

08.11.04 Tap@Mew’s tavern in RI. Pours the usual orangey-amber color with medium head that lasts. Mild, floral, fruity. Light bodied, refreshing, quaffable session brew. Truly brewed for the masses.
