Commercial Description:
Hurricane Amber Ale is a full flavored beer which clearly has more taste than other domestic and imported light beers while at the same time does not overpower the drinker with heavy body or excessive bitterness.

From a 12 fl. oz bottle with an expiration date of December 08. Pours a cloudy amber-orange with a small off-white head. Aroma of malts and fruits. Mouthfeel is smooth and medium. Flavor is more hoppy than malty and a little bitter. Not too bad

Draft. Pours a very lightly hazy, glowing golden-orange color. A small, frothy, off-white head settles quickly to a thin film, leaving wet, drippy spots of lace behind on the glass. The aroma shows a sweet crystal malt base, with light floral hops and traces of pine. Flavors follow suit, sweet caramel and toffee, with a hint of buttery cream, countered by floral bitterness and traces of grass and pine. Medium bodied, with balanced carbonation, it’s fairly easy drinking. This brew is not unpleasant, by any means, but there’s just not a whole lot going on here. Decent amber.

Tap: Clear amber color with a small white head especially around the edge of the glass. The aroma wasn’t anything to write about either way. The hop presence is definitely noticeable, but well-balanced with the malts. The feel is semi-thick and an all around good brew.

On tap at the Lobster Claw (Orleans, MA). Pours a clear amber color with off-white head. Some lacing of the glass. Aroma is slightly sweet with floral notes. Aroma is predominantly grain and spice with some sweet malt. Flavor is malty with some earthy and vegetable notes that transition to a hoppy bitterness. Generally light to medium body with a quick finish.

looks like an amber should. Good smell, like flower petals and barley smashed up in a copper pestal. Below average flavor and a bit flimsy on on the tongue.

On tap in Newport back in May. Pours an orange - amber color with little to no head. Malt and bread in the nose. Light bodied with notes of roasted malt and bread flavors. A very simple beer, nothing impressive about this one.

12oz bottle. Medium light amber colored beer. Off burnt butterscotch flavors. Hoppy crispness saves it from amber malt hell. Not really a good beer, but preferable to macro-swill I suppose. Certainly not recommendable.

12oz bottle I got for free at a retirement party my friend Jan took me too. After taking a red eye I had this and stopped for a bit. Pours amber with a tan 1 finger head. Nose is light malty and freshly balanced. Taste is malty balanced nice and bitter on the back end overall I thought this was a pretty tasty Amber Ale.
