Commercial Description:
Hurricane Amber Ale is a full flavored beer which clearly has more taste than other domestic and imported light beers while at the same time does not overpower the drinker with heavy body or excessive bitterness.

Light, everyday drinking ale smell, with an amber kick? Pretty golden honey amber color. A sweetish, spice taste. I just couldn’t figure what that spice was, but i know its common?? A slightly toasted hop taste sticks to the tongue. Very easy to drink, i would definitely prefer this on tap while in RI than any macro! This is definitely a beer to be druink in mass quanities with your buds!

Dec. 2005 - This one had potential...maybe I had a bad bottle. Poured with nice fluffy head and really good lacing. Aroma was bready malts. Mouthfeel was smooth, could have used maybe a tad more hops and/or carbonation. Flavor was sweet caramel and bready malts, but had a metallic aftertaste that was not appealing (was very faint, but noticeable)...would have been a much more enjoyable experience without it.

Thanks to alldaydrinker for this bottle. Pours a nice orange amber color with small off white head. Malty with very light hops on the nose. Crisp, easy drinking beer with very little flavor...just some malts and soft hops. Great first beer of the night.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a light coppery color with small white head. Medium mouthfeel. Ez drinking, average brew. Flavors of slightly sweet malt with very light hop undertone. Well balanced.

Pretty amber with beige head, good fluff that holds its own....wonderful caramel malt among, very exciting, substantial body for an ale, but a thinness at the same time...a fresh flavorful creation with depth....a caramel characteristic with a bitter touch...a delicate sweetness that lingers on the lips

Pours, well, amber with a smallish white head.
The aroma is very toasted and caramelly. There’s a slight whiff of herbal hops.
Lots of malt flavors. A bit of Munich, caramel, and toast. Again with the herbs. Pleasant bitterness.
On the full side of medium body, with a decent amount of carbonation.
A pretty average beer. Nothing to turn away.

Picked up in Western Mass. Poor taste sentence at bottom of cap, and so was the beer. Poured a rudy red, some initial off-white head that quickly fizzed. A drop of C-hop in aroma. Heavy carbonation and some bitterness that finishes metallic. Not too drinkable.
