"Regenschauer" is the German word for rainstorm that fits perfectly with autumn in New England as well as this beer made in the traditional Oktoberfest style. This hearty lager has a toasted malt flavor typical of the German malts used to make it. Its aroma is a mixture of hop citrus and a faint hint of the lager yeasts used to make it. SPECS: 14 SRM, OG 1.058, FG 1.015, 5.3% abv, 16.5 IBUs. Malts: Pils, Munic, Vienna, Cara-Pils. Hops: Saaz, Magnum, Tradition, Golding

Pours a lightly hazy weak tea brown with a creamy off-white head and a swirl of sediment like the inside of a toy marble. I thought that was kind of cool, given the storm theme on the bottle’s label and the swirl’s resemblance to a cyclone. The nose is a bit different than the typical Oktoberfest: a blend of pilsner and bready Munich malt with grassy/herbal hops in support; fairly sharp. Light-bodied and almost creamy with a crisp, short, mildly bitter finish. The flavor follows the nose with a crisp grassy finish. An interesting brew that tastes like a hybrid of a German pilsner and an Oktoberfest.

12 ounce bottle from beerbill. Thanks! Best by March... no year indicated. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium foamy white head. Average head retention and poor lacing. Very nutty aroma with some stone fruit and toasted malt notes. Taste is nutty with bitter hops, green apple and subtle tart and bandaid notes. Something is not right here. Medium bodied.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with combined with notes of peaches and ginger. The flavor is sweet malty with an acidic touch and primary notes of malt, leading to a dry tart straw finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Mild nose, light toasted malt, earthiness, caramel. Initial taste is again mild with citrus, spice, earthiness. Mid palate to finish displays some caramel and grain. Palate duration and head retention is average. Drinkable, but a one timer for me.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of jjpm74. Pours a slightly hazy deep golden with a creamy, off-white head. Good malty nose with a whiff of caramel. Medium body with caramel malts, burned caramel and a light underlying tartness. Dry and lightly bitter finish. 131108
