12oz bottle. Poured a medium golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of tart blueberries, other berries and some graininess. Tastes of blueberries with a semi-sweet malty finish. A tad on the sweet side.

Bottle. Pours a rich gold with a thin head. Smells of blueberries and light malt. Tastes of sweet blueberries and sweet sugary malt. The palate on this is thin. One of the poorer examples of a blueberry beer.

(Rating #3400 - Another one hundred bites the dust) Bottle and served in a NB Flute glass: Golden hue with a fading fizzy head and minimal head. The aroma is more towards a cooked blueberry than something fresh off the bush but that is not saying it is bad, just a sweeter aroma. Founds some bready malts and even a hint of caramel too. The taste displays the fruit very well with a background of soft grains and earthy character. The mouth feel is fuller than normally found within the genre. I really like this and it is a rare fruit beer that gets better as it warms. If you are not afraid of the style then you should try this.

Bottle. High hopes for this blueberry ale. Well it was a let down. Pours an orange body suspicious already. Faint blueberry in the noes but but then in the taste its like crap fruit esters and adjunctive flavors. dammit.

Bottle consumed on 2/23/07. Bottle code 6 157, whatever that means.
Oh boy! Another New England blueberry ale....I’m pretty sure I could rate this in my sleep. I bet it’s got a nice white head, a light golden body , clear, with moderate retention and minimal lacing.
It probably smells of lightly tart blueberry essence, a touch of dry blueberry skin (though whole fruit is not used) and some dry, lightly grainy, highly attenuated pale malts in the background. Clean, no yeast apparency. Probably some honey as it warms.
Flavor tastes of soft blueberry essence, not overly tart, with sweet, lightly honeyish malts. Filtered texture gives some looseness/wateriness on the finish and a bit too much sweetness builds up upon warming/breathing as it finishes.

And yes, after pouring and smelling/drinking the beer, that’s what it’s like, more or less. The unique character on this particular one? It tastes very chalky and lightly bitter. The blueberry flavor and aroma is more concentrated than in most. Tastes almost like white grape juice. Powderiness noted on the end. Oh and there’s more lacing than normal (everything seems to lace very well on this new glass of mine, however)
Good lord I hate this "style".

12oz got at Nikki’s Liquor. Sucker for fruit beers even if I know they’ll probably suck. Pours orange with a tan head. The nose is big blueberry from just cracking the top. Taste is light blueberry, but kinda crappy. Alrighty then, on to the next fruitty crap storm.
