| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 24, 2007 Pours a clear copper with a thin off-white head that fades quickly to a small frothy cap. The nose is lemon grass, citrus and golding hops, and the same goes for the taste. There is also a nice presence of doughy malts. The mouthfeel is full for a summer beer, but not so much for an IPA. I don’t like to consider this beer an IPA, although it is because it is intended to be refreshing not complex and intensely hoppy. There is nice lacing on this brew, too. The finish is long, dry and bitter, perfect for the summer. mbrandon2w (109), Worcester, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | May 17, 2007 hard pour gets a thick, dense head. nice copper color. TONS of proteins in suspension. malty, nutty aroma. Flavor really follows the malty nutty aroma, with a good bitterness. I don’t smell any citrus, which i expected from the cascades. it does have a nice creamy mouthfeel. Mediocre IPA really. kevd193213 (513), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 2, 2006 Updated: Jul 25, 2009Dark gold, very thin white head. Aroma is fruits and malt roast. Not as hoppy as I prefer for an IPA. Solid offering, though nothing spectacular. jazz88 (2239), San Francisco, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 13, 2006 Bottle. Dark yellow color with a laced white head. A crisp malty aroma with a malt finish. I couldn’t find the hops. Maybe it is a West Coast thing. Rating from 2004 notes. Thanks to Nuffield for the RI beer. Dickinsonbeer (3502), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 21, 2006 Pours a clear deep gold with lively carbonation and a fluffy lasting white head. Nice lace as well. Aroma is thick with citrus hops with hints of mango and a light toasted malt backbone. Flavor is more toasted malts with a light bready profile and light citrus and some resiny pine hops in the middle- seems light on the bitterness, but is very smooth and easy drinking. Very dry and short lived finish. This is a nice summer IPA. CharlesDarwin (1864), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 22, 2006 Pours a deep ruddied brown. No head. Caramalized sweet corn and orange hop aroma. Peculiar overbearing old yeasts interfere with any decent hop malt play that might be occuring. Finishes sacharrin and stagnant. Carbonation is low. Cloying smack of indescipt sugars. 00cobraR (1102), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 8, 2006 Pours out a brown color, fairly small head. Taste is slightly bitter, and malty. Pretty hoppy, not really pleasing, but nice. Not the best IPA by any means, but certainly pleasing. I like this, but I’ve had much better.
