| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 5, 2004 Clear, amber ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The nose is of honey, hot pepper and a fuzzy fruit blend. The flavor is malty and sweet up front and then becomes moderately bitter and very dry. Medium-bodied and astringent with lively carbonation. Lengthy, bitter, mojave-dry finish. Thanks to springslicker for the bottle. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 3, 2004 This is a clear amber colored brew with a large frothy head. The aroma has malt with some hops.
The flavor was good, but the hop bitterness, flavor and aroma were way off what I expected from an IPA.
Good IPA for the non Hop Head or for some one wanting a fair amber ale. hershiser2 (914), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 27, 2004 Clear golden amber with some bubbles lifting from the bottom... nice head. Smells mostly malty, with some grapefruity hops underneath. I’d like a bit more of the hop scent to step forward. Taste is definitely hoppy, with a lot less malts than the nose would lead you to believe. It’s a crisp brew, without a doubt, but quite ordinary. Lubiere (4549), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 13, 2004 Dusty Gold. Subdued, interesting nose of burnt caramel and citrusy, peppery cascade hops. Not very aromatic to say the least. Pleasant malty flavor that begins with some nice malty tones, mainly burnt caramel and apple. The grain bill is great. The hops are what I don’t like. They just don’t seem to work very well. I think that a larger blend of chinook and centennial would work mch better with the malt profile. I still enjoyed this though. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Sep 28, 2004 Thanks Slikwily for sending me this brew; my first one from the state of Rhode Island. Some hops in the nose, but mostly molasses and malt. I have had many beers that smell like this and few were any good, so this is not promising. Somewhat hazy amber color with small, off-white head and nice lace. Tastes better than it smells. Dry, hoppy flavor. Well balanced. Quite pleasant. I am pleasantly surprised. However, I did spend several hours at the Warrens, WI Cranberry festival on a hot day, so did the fact that I was thirsty impact my enjoyment of this beer? Definitely one of the better East Coast IPAs I have had. footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 10, 2004 Clear orange.brew with a nice egg color head.Light hop and grapefruit nose.The flavor is much less defined then the aroma.much.It is a good beer,average.Thin not much body but still abeer that you could "keep in the fridge". shadey (1501), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 7, 2004 The initial pour is an orange amber with a fluffy white head. The head quickly dissipates but leaves decent lacing on the glass. Very aromatic. Hops and citurs. The flavor is less citrusy and more hoppy than the aroma. Not bad. There is also a decent alcohol heat in there that I don’t want in my IPA.
One more thing. A funny line on the label says "A small portion of the profits from the sale of this beer actually goes to the company that makes it." thats good stuff.
